You may have heard this saying….”failing to plan is a planning to fail”
One of the biggest challenges I see people have is building healthy habits. One things is for sure….. every day you and I are either building or destroying our health. This is all based on the choices that we make. What we eat, how we move and what we think.
It is impossible to think that anyone can be healthy 100% of the time. We may know of to be doing everything right but I can assure you that our overall health profile is a balance of so many different factors, not just eating right or exercising. Mental health plays a significant role. So if you crave a chocolate bar eat it without guilt or don’t eat it at all. We will talk about mental aspects of health in later posts.
To improve health each and every one of these factors need to be addressed. I hope that I can share with you some of the things that help our family build and maintain outrageous health.
When I wake up in the morning I start my day with a routine. The first thing I do is have a large glass of purified water. The purifier that we use is found at http://wellness.com.au/filter-range/kitchen-drinking/series-5
This helps to rehydrate our body from the night before. Then I like to go and read over my goals and look over my vision board. I spend some quite time at my home office thinking about what I have planned for the day. this helps me get my “head right” for the day.
When the kids wake up we give them all a drink of water. The kids usually get stuck straight into the fruit and all of us take our supplements. Many years ago I used be a bit of a supplement junkie. Nowadays I take only a couple. The food that we eat is lacking in so many nutrients so for me I like to supplement with a fish oil, men’s multi vitamin, pro biotic and spirulina. Dr Aya takes fish oil, spirulina and a women’s multi vitamin. Kado and Nate fish oil/flax seed oil, pro biotic and spirulina. Sol gets his from mums milk.
For breakfast we vary between porridge, muesli and fresh fruit and nuts, eggs on Essene Bread ( this bread is so good for you). We only use rice milk or oat milk and the kids have yoghurt.
So here is a simple habit that you can add into your lifestyle that will move you towards greater health and vitality.
Live Longer, Live Stronger.
